Description

A beloved design and part of the WoodenBoat School fleet.

In 1914, famed designer Nathaniel (Captain Nat) Herreshoff drew plans for the “Buzzard’s Bay Boy’s Boat,” for yachtsmen who wanted a training sailboat for their children. This timeless design has never lost its popularity and appeal. Over 3000 have been built. Wooden versions with the traditional gaff sail are still being built, as well as fiberglass versions with Marconi sails. There are active racing fleets in New England. This plank on bulkhead kit faithfully reproduces this easy-to-handle, stable boat as Captain Nat envisioned it.

Kit features:
- Laser cut parts for accuracy and ease of construction
- Full-sized plans and detailed instructions, with photos and drawings of key construction details
- Includes sailcloth and rigging cord, with finely-cast metal fittings and all material for planking, rudder, centerboard, spars and display cradle.
- Plank-on-bulkhead construction

Please Note: The display tray is not included and you will need to supply tools, paint and glue for this kit.

Beautiful model arrived early. Wrapped weatherproof which is good because we had downpours the day it arrived.
