Excellent history, detailed drawings and superb resource for your library

My primary reference book for the history of the dory is "The Dory Book". I have built a scale replica RC model of a Saint Pierre Dory using this the book as a reference. I highly recommend John Gardner's book, for both the history, the detailed drawings and photographs.

    A great resource

My main reason for buying this book is to build models from the plans. There is plenty of detail in the book for that purpose. It also has a good amount of background information on the different types of dories that will be of interest to history buffs.
