The additional handle will allow more pressure / control. These have double-sided saw rasp blades, and feature coarse teeth on one side (11 teeth/inch) and fine teeth on the reverse (25 tpi). The coarse teeth are for removing large amounts of material quickly while the fine teeth provide for a clean finish. While they are designed specifically for wood, the rasps can also be used on soft metal, plastic and other materials.
You can order extra blades for this version. See below.
THe Shinto Rasp worked as advertised for half hull carving. I could find it no where else so I went to my friends at WoodenBoat.
I have been using for over 15 years , I find it to be one of the most useful tools for removing shaping wood and excellent for removing heavy epoxy build ups
