Description

Design by David Stimson, based on the Alton Wallace West Pointer workboats from the Maine coast. David's design is a bit larger that the original West Pointer. She has plenty of freeboard forward, and her sweeping sheer puts the rail to a comfortable height for work or play. Another nice feature is the tumblehome aft. This boat is strip-planked, and can carry a 25-75hp outboard.

You'll see a book about her construction linked below.

Wonderful Boat

I built this boat....GETTIN THERE, perfect for our use in Casco Bay. I did add spray rails and reccomend them to others. The book is very helpful.
