Scaled from the 7'7" Nutshell Pram and true to its features, this kit includes detailed instructions, plans and patterns, white Dacron for the sail, plus sheet and strip basswood. Building this model is a great way to understand the basic plywood construction techniques. If you're thinking about building one of our full-sized Nutshell Prams, warm up with this.

This is a building course in a box. It's like coming home from the lumber yard with wood planed to thickness, but not pre-cut.
If you'd like a better understanding of just what you are getting yourself in for, view the 4 pages of instructions by clicking: INSTUCTIONS.See below as we have full-sized pre-cut kits, a video, a building book and building plans.

Working on model now. Very well conceived instructions. Hull nearly complete. Will probably order the full size nutshell after I figure out where I can build the boat without exposing my wife to the toxic epoxy fumes. Or, what alternative adhesive could I use when building the boat?
I've not heard of alternative glues, but, some folks build using traditional lapstrake and solid lumber. You'll see a photo of one on our Shellback plans page (KN numbers on the bow). That fellow was from Germany, and happen to stop in our Store and show us that photo.
Materials complete, instructions easily understood. Would like for this experience to carry over to building the full sized 7' 7" boat eventually.
