Prepping for Grand Kids First Boat

I have been looking for a boat/canoe that I understand when reading the literature. My plan is to mentor one of my grandkids and invite his best friend and them and their dads as a team thru the build at the same time. The plans are perfect for the project I have been looking for.
This will also motivate me and my son to finish a Sassafras canoe we started at the Wooden Boat School "many" years ago guided by Bill Thomas.

    6 Hour Canoe...a primer

I can say the tech and options are nothing new to me...I already design and build highend racing kayaks. That is not a criticism. However, for me the best sections are in the back. It applifies the intangibles and shows various options for the building event. I am in the beginnings of a sustaining boat building enterprise with my local community college. The narative about the human side is what is needed for people like me. Worth the money.
