My husband, John Thomas, and I are in the article “Small Boat, Big Mission “ about the boat “OYSTER “!, which he built in the 70’s.

I loved the article on the heritage fleet of oyster boats still working the Connecticut coast. The Catherine M Wedmore, featured on the cover, was named for my great grandmother and was the pride of the New Haven-based Wedmore Oyster Company for decades. So pleased to know she is still a beautiful and valued working boat. Thank you to Norm and Copps Island Oysters!

I’m a commercial oyster farmer working in a WoodenBoat. How could I not love this issue?
