If you've read the book How to Build a Wooden Boat, by Bud McIntosh, you will no doubt recall the uniquely styled illustrations, and perhaps recall the name of the illustrator, Samuel F. Manning.
And you'll no doubt see the style connection with the wonderful images on these notecards which Sam created by carving / inking linoleum, much like one does with wood cuts.
This set of ten notecards has two each of five stunning lino-cuts. Cards measure 4-1/4" x 6", are blank on the inside, and include envelopes.
The art work is excellent and the card fits most occasions for anyone involved with boating and the sea.

The nautical subjects are nicely captured by an artist who knows his medium, which rewards achieving atmosphere through an economy of lines.
