Companion book to MARINE DIESEL BASICS, also by Dennison Berwick.
Record what you've done, keep it all in one place, and especially helpful is all the data included in the book. There are separate log sections for fuel, engine oil changes, gearbox/transmission fluid changes, fuel filters, impellers inspections/changes, engine coolant, anode inspections, saildrive gear oil changes, etc.
There is info on oils, belts, batteries, conversion tables, electricals, weights, measurements, and more.
Softcover, 208 pp
A lot of useful information on how to inspect critical components of a diesel engine. I particularly like the layout of the fuel log to capture more data than just the amount and date of the refueling.
I just wish the log were made so the pages lie flat when you are entering the data so you don’t need 2 hands.
