From northern Norway, Arne-Terje has compiled this photo-documentary of boats where they don't belong--on land--after their long life on the water.
You may recognize the name Arne-Terje, because of his wonderful book about the world's largest Viking ship, Draken Harald Harfagre (Dragon Harald Fairhair).
HIGH AND DRY features dozens of boats, and a bit of their story, and fabulous photography. The text is in English.

Beautiful photography, interesting stories and commentary on the lives of Norway's fishermen and their wooden boats.
Great book. I love the stories
Great publication; so glad I was able to find it from a US distributor and have it shipped so quickly! Thanks!
Pictures and history was outstanding I’ve shown the book to friends and the feedback from them was great
Upon first glance, I was motivated to compile my own American version of this book. We need one! After closer review, Arne-Terje Saether's little book has validated a lot of my endless thoughts on old boats. Since the 1950's I have always loved, and returned to this subject. The photographs are as thought provoking as the translations from Norwegian to English. This subject matter will remain my oasis in a desert of modern boat design.
