Professional BoatBuilder Magazine

April/May 2019

On the cover: A high-speed impact with a Caribbean shoal left the composite hull of a newly launched 74' (22.5m) Spencer sportfisherman badly damaged in early 2016. Worton Creek Marina (Chestertown, Maryland) has resurrected the boat, replacing extensive sections of splintered wooden stringers and damaged foam-core composite hull skins as well as all onboard systems and mechanical components harmed by the impact and subsequent partial sinking. Story on page 28. Photograph courtesy Worton Creek Marina.
