Thomson 11'3" Skiff DIGITAL PLAN
- Additional Info
Flat-bottomed rowing skiff elegant enough for a yacht tender. This is an ideal plan to learn real boatbuilding. The plan is dirt cheap at twenty bucks, and as a digital download, you'll be reading (lots of supplemental info) about it right away. Spring for another $1.95, and you can be reading Karen Wales' piece in Getting Started, about how to loft THIS boat (see below). The plan set is just one sheet, and as there are no full-sized patterns, you can print it out on your printer and not be missing anything.
Designed by Asa Thomson
LOA - 11' 3"
Beam - 4' 5"
Weight - 125 - 150 lbs.
Construction: Cross-planked bottom, lapstrake sides
Lofting is required

Plans include 1 sheet. Please note, this plans has the least amount of info for any plan we offer... hence the intermediate skill level. Granted, you could get a bit of practice in on the boatbuilding side of things with the Yankee Tender (very similar to the Asa Thomson skiff) model kit, see below.
