SOS Distress Light & Flag
- Additional Info
US Coast Guard approved distress signal light can replace your flares (which require renewing every few years). It's the only accepted alternative to the pyrotechnic flares, and this light never "expires". All you have to do is replace batteries (three "C" batteries). It flashes SOS code when turned-on, and is visible for up to 10 nautical miles. Runs 6 hours at peak intensity, and is rated at total illumination time as 60 hours. Simply turn the top clear lens to activate. Also includes a bright orange 36" x 38" daylight distress flag.
Made in the US, it measures 8" x 4-1/2", includes two lanyards for hanging, and it has built-in flotation.
As of May 2018, this has not been approved in Canada.
