Another milestone for WoodenBoat Publications... the 250th issue published, and it's a stunner: click WB250 PDF for the instant download version, and May/June 250 for the print version. Kudos to the art dept., headed by James Bartick. Be sure to read Matt's editorial page for background on how the cover article came about.

If you've been following our Getting Started series, the latest issue GS 57 is now available for downloading. It's by explainer Jan Adkins, and is all about staying dry using pumps and bailers. Good stuff to know.

Got a thing for viking boats? We can help scratch that itch with the brilliant new book Dragon Harald Fairhair about the largest viking ship in the world. Reviewed in the new issue of WoodenBoat copies just landed here in beautiful downtown Brooklin. Suggest you not dilly dally on this one.

And lastly, if you're into rowing, and want to step-up your game, watch this Thumb Buttons video from Chris Cunningham, editor of our digital magazine, Small Boats Monthly. Oarsmanship goes into high gear.
