With the trend of more paper & ink books going out of print, we're glad to mention a couple of titles gone for the last year or so, that are once again on our shelves. The Woodworker's Pocket Reference is back in its second edition, and My First Book of Knots, is now softcover, with a lower price tag.

We now have four more Boat Design Quarterly back issues available as instant digital downloads. You can see the just added issues 34-37, plus digitals 38 through the new issue 44 by clicking BDQ Digis.

Georgetown, South Carolina is the place to be Saturday October 18 and Sunday the 19th for their annual wooden boat show. Rich Hilsinger who heads-up our WoodenBoat School will be there, as will 140+ boats, a rowing race, an Opti race, a boatbuilding competition, and bucketloads of Southern Hospitality. Click Boat Show for more.

Lastly, you may want to take a look at Jeff's build of a Somes Sound 12-1/2 on our WoodenBoat Forum. Bonus: you get to see his striking shop. The boat design is a lapstrake variation of the Herreshoff 12-1/2 and Joel White Haven 12-1/2, from builder/author John Brooks.
