July 2, 2014To: WoodenBoat Devotees
A pretty good way to start-off the month is with the new July/August WoodenBoat issue, which you can be reading in just minutes if you opt to download the digital version by clicking WB 239. And, you'll find a new "Sketchbook" section in this issue, as well as some Sketchbook On-line Bonus Content.
If you were looking to add a bit of snazz to your boat, consider our new Red Burgee, which is now in stock here in Brooklin. It's embroidered, just like the recently added Navy Blue Burgee.
Our WoodenBoat T-shirts for kiddos just got an upgrade. We have three new colors in the "Comfort Colors" brand (same as the adult Ts). Choose from Grass Green, Pink, and Blue.
We've just added another plan to our digital download collection of boatbuilding plans. This one is from Robert Steward, and was featured in The Rudder in the 1940s and 1950s. Take a look at his 22' Sharptown Barge, powered by a 3-10 hp outboard.
And lastly, thanks to all the good folks who spent this past weekend at the WoodenBoat Show in Mystic, CT. As promised, the weather was Maine-like, the boats were beautiful, and the good-will plentiful. It's not too early to book your hotel for 2015... we'll be there for the last weekend of June, the 26-28.
