To: WoodenBoat Devotees

We've just taken delivery of our new WoodenBoat Ceramic Travel Mugs. Rich chocolate-brown color, with white WoodenBoat logo, and brown flexible silicone lid, they're double-walled to keep your coffee hot and your hand cool. Holding 11 ounces of that morning magic, these are tapered to fit in your cup holder, and perhaps make drive-time something to look forward to.

And, we've just received several new books, including Stan Grayson's book The Wianno Senior Story subtitled "A Century on Nantucket Sound." It's a beautiful and detailed book by a person who knows these boats and that particular slice of the world. You may be familiar with Stan from his Cape Cod Catboats book, as well as articles in WoodenBoat.

If you've thought about doing a bit of camp-cruising, then consider Gear List of the Golden Moon. It will give you a bunch of good ideas about what to bring and expect, as well as entertain. It's based on author Dick Callahan's travels from Alaska to Seattle in his 18-foot dory.

One more brand-new book: Why We Make Things and Why it Matters is by Peter Korn, and subtitled "The Education of a Craftsman". Instead of a how to, it's more of a "why". Korn established the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in the early 1990s.

All gone: the print version of our MotorBoats 2013 special edition magazine might still be on the newsstand, but we've sold-out of our stock. That's the issue which features the handsome 22' Landing School Fly Fisher on the front cover. The good news? We do have the Digital MotorBoats 2013 available as an instant download.

And lastly, you've likely heard of "Christmas in July"... our version is "Summer in November", because the 2014 WoodenBoat School course catalog is now available! Click Download Course Catalog and start your scheming and dreaming. Reservations open on January 2, 2014.
