You likely need certain books in hardcover, from a "keeper" standpoint. So we just added Charlotte's Web in hardcover, even though we also have it in softcover, as part of a three book set.
Another new arrival is the book Good Little Ship, by Peter Willis. Pub'd in the UK by Lodestar, this will be especially interesting to Arthur Ransome fans (Swallows and Amazons fame). It's about the Nancy Blackett, the real life little ship, and the basis for Goblin from We Didn't Mean to Go to Sea. Chapters by Arthur Ransome are included. Foreword by Libby Purves, who will be familiar to the anglophile crowd.
Two new model kits just arrived... these are ideal for the kiddos as parts are pre-cut and assembly is easy. The Scorpion is a rubber band powered runabout. And Coaster is a schooner that will sail at the first hint of a breeze. Both are from the folks who do the Cricket and Toad models.
And lastly, the long-awaited 12 piece carving chisel sets (they've been out of stock for about 6 months...) are now available. These have been popular as a very good set for getting into carving nameboards, stars and other traditional decoratives. Come and get'em.
