We have two new "old" books that may pique your interest. Both brought back to life by Dover Books, they were originally published in the 1920s. Old Ship Figure-Heads and Sterns is packed with hundreds of drawing details on the subject. The other is American Sailing Ships-Plans and History featuring boats from the 18th to 20th centuries, by highly regarded Charles Davis. Take a look.

If you haven't booked flight or passage to Norway, you might think about it. This thread on our always enlightening WoodenBoat Forum has some mighty interesting boats. Check out Joining The Norwegian Coastal Federation Bodø.

Speaking of travel, albeit a bit closer to home, did you know that we host a boat show? Yessirree, end of June (that's sooner than we think) at wooden boat heaven, Mystic Seaport. Guaranteed sensory overload... in the best way possible. We even have a catchy name for it: The WoodenBoat Show. One other thing: while we bring a bunch of Store goodies to the Show, we don't come close to bringing everything. If you're hoping to pick-up something in particular, you can order, and just tell us you want to pick it up at the show. It's a snap.

We're sharing an article by Nic Compton (of A Life in Wooden Boats fame) from the latest issue of WB: the Salcombe Yawls of Devon. Sharing is a feature at your disposal if you subscribe (hint hint) to the digital version of the magazine. Sharing is good for you. Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality. — Dalai Lama XIV. Bonus: our Store Resources page has a link to the Salcombe Yawls Owners' Association. You'll see it near the top of the page, at the "recently added" bit.

And lastly, we have just posted the new issue #47 of Boat Design Quarterly DIGITAL as an instant download. If you don't get the print version, the download is the speediest way to read all about it.
