William Garden's Yacht Designs is now back in print. The softcover book is packed with Bill's designs—328 pages worth. If you didn't get this book a few years ago, you might want to add it to your dream collection. Not included (because he drew it later) is Tom Cat , which we had the pleasure of publishing just a few years before Bill passed over the bar. That book includes a foreword by Maynard Bray, who was instrumental in bringing the book to life.
Our sister magazine Professional BoatBuilder just published the Feb/March issue, with a bigly feature on teak decking. And yes, we have it in both print and PDF (digital) formats. And, PBB will open the doors to their REFIT Show on January 26 in Ft Lauderdale. This is the second year for this trade show, and word is it's expanding. So if you're in the trade, and wouldn't mind some January Florida time, do drop in.
If you've been waiting for The Canoe Yawl to come back in stock, it's here. And, while we were at it we got a few copies of the just released softcover version of Holmes of the Humber. Both are from Lodestar in the UK, who also publishes Cruising Yachts, and John Leather's Albert Strange book.
And lastly, while we haven't thought of ourselves as being anti-social, we are getting more social here at the Store. Next time you visit our Store Site, you'll see links at the top of the page for the WoodenBoat social media sides of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and the WoodenBoat Forum. Click'em if you want to see what's happening in the ether.
