To: WoodenBoat Devotees

Odds are editor Christopher Cunningham was burning the candle at both ends during the WoodenBoat Show, as the new July issue of Small Boats Monthly just went "live" last Friday. The effort paid-off, as you'll see the digital publication is once again packed with great stuff, including the Candlefish 13 (more about that design to come), and a neat piece on Rollin Thurlow and his wood and canvas canoes, amongst the offerings.

If the art of the hand-written note is not dead in your household, or perhaps needs a bit of invigoration, this handsome new set of notecards titled Wooden Boats might do the trick. They're from highly regarded marine photographer Benjamin Mendlowitz, who also happens to produce a calendar. Maybe you've heard of it... the 2017 Calendar of Wooden Boats. Yes, it's summer 2016 and the 2017 calendar is now available.

Fundamentals of Boatbuilding, Building a Model Friendship Sloop, Build Your Own Stitch & Glue Kayak, Elements of Sailing, and the Craft of Sail aboard the Concordia Yawl MISTY. What do they have in common? They are courses going on right now at our own MagicKingdom... The WoodenBoat School. It might be time for you to give that some thought.

Upcoming holidays do not include Valentine's Day or Talk Like a Pirate Day, and the odds are your significant other's birthday is not in the next week. So it's actually the perfect time to gift this new Silver Anchor Pendant. The reason: just because.

And lastly, thanks to all the folks who stopped by our booth at The WoodenBoat Show. And thanks to Mystic Seaport for not only providing the ideal setting, but also the picture-perfect weather. And, if you didn't make it to the show, you should know that John Harris and the Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) crew were the honorees of the annual tribute dinner. No outfit brings more cool boats, or puts more thought and effort into exhibiting at the WoodenBoat Show than CLC.
