Description

No dull tools allowed. This valuable manual is for all woodworkers because it has instructions for sharpening and maintaining handsaws, bow saws, power saws, and chainsaws.

Sam Manning's clear illustrations (he illustrated How to Build a Wooden Boat, The Dory Book, other books and many magazine articles) make the hard-to-see details come to life with the stroke of his pen. And Dynamite's instructions are no nonsense, as was the man. Guess that's why this book has been in-print continuously for almost 40 years.

Clippings from the "Cutting Edge"

Large format, comprehensive, great illustrations. A useful woodshop addition. Only negative is that it does not deal with Japanese carpentry saws some of which are very handy in wooden boat building. Beautiful book otherwise!

Setting and Sharpening Hand and Power Saws.

A down to earth, practical manual for sharpening and setting handsaws and circular saw blades. Excellent illustrations.
