Beyond nice, these are Myerchin.
Built to last, you'll notice the difference from their lower-end brethern as soon as you lay a hand on them. Blades are 440 high-carbon stainless steel, with a 70/30 ratio of serrated/standard edge, and a built-in shackle key (that's the narrowing elongated hole in the blade). Blade and/or marlinspike can be locked independently.
Handle is made of black micarta. Micarta has a very traditional look and feel. The good folks at Wikipedia tell us it was invented in 1910 by none other than George Westinghouse, using fibers, linen, and resins invented by Dr. Leo Baekeland ("bakelite" fame). Interesting but perhaps more than you wanted to know. Anyway, this knife comes with a black nylon sheath which slides onto your belt either vertically OR horizontally.
