Joel is the designer of a variety of small craft well known by readers of WoodenBoat, such as the Nutshell Pram and Shellback Dinghy, as well as the Haven 12 1/2, Sheerwater, LALA, as well as some larger boats including the W-Class. The book is divided into two sections, biography and designs. Almost all of the photography is by Benjamin Mendlowitz, so you know you'll be in for quite a treat.
