A working Friendship Sloop, or Maine sloop-boat,
documented by Martin C. Erismann at the turn of the century. The plans produce a model that is 15" long.
You'll receive 2 pages of plans, historical information
about the boat and step-by-step instructions for half-hull building, using the lift method.
Suggested Tools:
If you start with wood pre-planed to thickness, then:
scissors, pencil, coping saw, combo square, hammer, spokeshave, block plane, wood rasp, chisels... 1/2" to 1-1/2", gouge, screwdriver, c-clamps (about a dozen would be handy).
Carpenter's wood glue, sandpaper, shellac/varnish/tung oil--whatever you're going to finish with.
There are also detailed drawings, including full-sized patterns for each lift, as well as template for you to shape the profile.
