Minerva is a cutter designed by William Fife Jr., in 1888.
Included in the kit are the plans and wood needed to build a basswood half hull of Minerva. The model is 28" long and built using the lift method.
Suggested Tools:
If you start with wood pre-planed to thickness, then:
scissors, pencil, coping saw, combo square, hammer, spokeshave, block plane, wood rasp, chisels... 1/2" to 1-1/2", gouge, screwdriver, c-clamps (about a dozen would be handy).
Carpenter's wood glue, sandpaper, shellac/varnish/tung oil--whatever you're going to finish with.
The plans are 3 pages and have full-sized patterns for each lift. You will also recieve step-by-step instructions and historical information about the boat.
